Peter Robertson, the Western Australian Campaign Coordinator, and Joshua Coates, our Kimberley Campaigner, gave presentations on the status of WA’s environment and the current campaign progression within the state. Attendees also viewed the spectacular WildCountry photo exhibition over afternoon tea.

Thank you to Patricia Haste, one of our many dedicated benefactors, for sharing her personal story about her involvement with The Wilderness Society and her passion for conservation, which ultimately led to her to remember wilderness in her Will.

“I believe that every creature has a right to a home unspoiled by humans and it is our duty to leave space for them. I like to think that long after I have left this earth there will always be enough wilderness areas for all native species to live and I truly believe that The Wilderness Society is accomplishing this.”

Christian Marriott also shared his story about his late mother, Lois Maxwell.  Her passion for wilderness conservation led him to the decision to leave a bequest from his inheritance, on her behalf, towards the ongoing protection of Australian wilderness.

Forever Wild events are held to update, inform and appreciate our valued supporters who have already or may be considering leaving a bequest to The Wilderness Society for the long-term preservation of a healthy planet.  We look forward to seeing you again in 2009.
