Get Involved Queensland

- TWS Queensland branch planning group, 2008
Without this ‘people power’ we would not have protected the forests of South-East Queensland, ended land clearing and supported legislation to protect Queensland's wild rivers and Cape York Peninsula's natural heritage.
Volunteering is a great way to get experience, have fun, learn new skills, make friends and change the world.
There are many ways you can contribute, including:
- Coordinating Stalls and Events in Queensland
- Participating at stalls and events
- Assisting with Research and Development
- Helping in the office with administration work
- Helping out with IT skills
- Designing banners, posters, flyers, website design or newsletter layouts
- Helping with public outreach as a public speaker
- Media & Promotions Assistant
Please contact our Brisbane Campaign Centre for more information:
- Brisbane Campaign Centre Coordinator, at brisbane@wilderness.org.au or on (07) 3846 1420. Alternatively, drop into our office between 9-5pm Mon-Fri at 2/136 Boundary Rd, West End (above ‘Vinnies’) to find out more.
Joining a Wilderness Action Group (WAG) is a great way to get the latest campaign news and to become actively involved in our community outreach and education campaigns.
As a member of a WAG you'll work with passionate people and learn how your particular skills or talents can help to create positive community change. We also actively share campaigning skills for those wanting to learn more about the tools of the trade.
Meetings are held once a month in Brisbane.
Next Brisbane WAG meeting
Tuesday 28 October, 6-8pm, 2/136 Boundary Rd, West End
