(Inter)national day of solidarity for the Kimberley


On Saturday 8 December, the local community in Broome, Western Australia, will hold a rally and concert to oppose the construction of a giant gas hub on their doorstep.

On the same day, we'll be holding events around the country in solidarity with Broome, and to celebrate a fantastic year's work protecting our precious environment!

Everyone is welcome to join in this (Inter)national day of solidarity for the Kimberley. If you can't make it to Broome, then attend an event in your local area, or join in online!

National events:

3.30pm at at Male Oval, then walking to beach for concert.

You can show your solidarity with the Broome community from anywhere in Australia or the world!

1) Create a sign or banner of support.
2) Take a photo of you and your friends holing it in front of an iconic landmark in your city or town.
3) Post your photo to our Facebook page. Don't forget to tag your friends, and like/comment on other pictures while you're there!
