Marine Campaign Publicity Assistants Needed! - July 02, 2009

The Wilderness Society (SA) Inc (TWSSA) is looking for volunteers who are interested in becoming Marine Campaign Publicity Assistants.  The role of volunteer Marine Campaign Publicity Assistants is to support the achievement of campaign goals by enhancing the public profile of our marine campaign, demonstrating community support for marine parks and encouraging greater community engagement.    

WildEndurance Event Coordinator (NSW) - June 30, 2009

The Wilderness Society (Sydney) seeks a dynamic individual to further develop and coordinate its annual WildEndurance event. WildEndurance is a 100km team challenge staged in the Blue Mountains each May. The WildEndurance Event Coordinator is a part time, three day a week position that could be based out of our Sydney office in Surry Hills or elsewhere in NSW or the ACT.

Marine Conservation Community Campaigner (WA) - June 26, 2009

The Wilderness Society WA (TWSWA) invites applications for the position of Marine Conservation Community Campaigner. The role of the Marine Conservation Community Campaigner is to co-ordinate the TWSWA community engagement program focusing on the protection of WA’s unique marine and coastal environment and assist with the coordination of TWSWA volunteers. The position is 4 days/week for 1 year (with likely extension) and Perth-based with some travel.  Applications close COB 16th July 2009.

Volunteers are a fundamental part of The Wilderness Society and much of The Wilderness Society's work is performed by volunteers.People come from all walks of life, with energy, ideas, skills or just an interest, all of which eminently help The Wilderness Society with its aim to protect, promote and preserve wilderness. Since the early years of the Franklin campaign, community members from across Australia from all walks of life have put their energy, ideas and skills towards protecting, promoting and restoring wilderness for future generations.
