Major Donor Trip to the Kimberley - June 2010

The Wilderness Society Archive - This page is over one year old. Links and content may no longer be accurate.

Our June 2010 major donor Kimberley field trip went off without a hitch. The four-day trip included a meeting with Environs Kimberley, a visit to James Price Point, (site of proposed gas hub) Willie Creek Pearl Farm, the Broome Bird Observatory, Cable Beach, and the Japanese Cemetery.

We took a scenic flight around the Kimberley landing at Mount Hart, Mitchell Plateau, and Cape Leveque; our small Cessna took us low and slow over the King Leopold Ranges, the amazing Horizontal Waterfalls, the majestic Mitchell Plateau Falls, and finally James Price Point before returning to Broome Airport.

If you are interested in visiting beautiful wilderness with Wilderness Society staff then please contact us to discuss an itinerary.
