Protection of Your Privacy

The Wilderness Society policy on the privacy of personal information.

The Wilderness Society assures you that your personal information will not be given or sold to any individual or organisation outside The Wilderness Society.

The Privacy Act entitles you to access information about yourself held by The Wilderness Society.

If you consider this information to be incorrect, incomplete or in need of adjustment, you may request that it be adjusted. Unless the information is required to be held for statutory reasons, you may request that it be removed.

The Wilderness Society provides the option for anonymous donations. The Wilderness Society collects information from your direct contact with us, your response to petitions, raffles and postcards and your purchase of merchandise.

The Wilderness Society may make contact with you, to advise on campaign issues, or promote membership or fundraising matters, together with merchandise details. Such contact may be made through service providers such as mail houses. We only use providers who guarantee your privacy. You may request that no, or only selective, contact is made with you. Should you require we will provide details of our service providers.

The Wilderness Society does not transfer any personal information outside Australia. Your information may be shared between The Wilderness Society Inc. and your local or state Wilderness Society Campaign Centre.
