With the Copenhagen climate conference seeking to strike a new global climate treaty less than six months away, and federal parliament soon to debate carbon trading legislation, time is running out for the PM Rudd to show the decisive leadership that Australia’s expected when Labor won office in 2007.
The Wilderness Society had a strong presence at the rallies, raising awareness that protecting biodiversity is good for climate change - and that protecting our forests in particular must play an important part in any national and international action.
