Get involved - Tasmania

The Wilderness Society Tasmania's Campaign Centres in Hobart and Launceston rely on committed volunteers who help out with campaigns by volunteering their time and skills. There are many ways you can contribute. These can include working on creative community actions, research, helping in the office, reception, banner painting, odd jobs, participating in education and community outreach programs, and much, much more.

Volunteering is a great way to get experience, have fun, learn new skills, make friends and change the world.

Join the Launceston Wilderness Action Group (WAG)

Joining a Wilderness Action Group (WAG) is a great way to get the latest campaign news and to become actively involved in our community outreach and education campaigns.

As a member of a WAG you'll work with passionate people and learn how your particular skills or talents can help to create positive community change.

Meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month at the Launceston Campaign Centre, 180 Charles St Launceston at 6:30pm. Come to the Wednesday update lunch in Hobart

If you are in Hobart, why not join us for our weekly lunch and hear the latest campaign news? We meet every Wednesday at 1pm at 130 Davey St, Hobart. Delicious vegetarian lunch provided. Everybody welcome, gold coin donation appreciated. We hope to see you there.
