Get involved - Western Australia

- Kids getting involved at the rally to save Ningaloo Reef, WA.
The Wilderness Society in WA was integral to stopping the logging of most old growth forests in WA, protecting spectacular Ningaloo Reef, and banning GMO's from the State. Volunteers, with their dedication, commitment and enthusiasm were crucial to these wins... So if you want to be part of something big, no matter what your skills or interests, come along and get involved. There will be something you can help out with.
We need YOUR help with the state election campaign
As you may be aware, the State election has been called for Saturday 6th September - less than 3 weeks away!
Election time presents us with a fantastic opportunity. It's a time when politicians are listening, and key decisions get made. And the actions of concerned individuals like you make all the difference.
We are looking for election campaign volunteers. We need people for actions like banner drops, letterboxing, public actions, and stalls - weekdays or weekends? Any time that suits you.

Write a letter
Writing letters to local politicians, ministers, and local newspapers raises the level of community awareness about the environmental issues we’re campaigning on.
You might be surprised, but for every hand written letter a politician receives it is estimated that there are 100 like minded people in the community. Your support provides us with the people power to lobby government!
Visit the page of the campaign you are interested in to get details of where to write.
