Trix and Philip Wollen OAM generously hosted the evening. Alec Marr, Executive Director outlined our Save the Kimberley Campaign, and Professor Soulé delivered the evidence of the WildCountry vision as the definitive conservation plan for the region.
Known as the ‘father of conservation biology’, Michael Soulé is credited with moving biology out of the ivory tower of academia and into a conservation activism sphere. Michael has played a crucial role as Co-Chair of the WildCountry Science Council in driving the science across conservation planning in Australia. The resulting WildCountry vision underpins all Wilderness Society’s campaign work.
In appreciation of the considerable support given to us, we would like to thank all those you could attend the evening, and extend an invitation to our supporters around Australia for future events.
