Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of May, 2010
The Wilderness Society Victoria invites you to join us on a Central Highlands Forest Tour.

You are invited to join campaign staff and supporters on a weekend exploring the forests of Victoria's Central Highlands, right on Melbourne's doorstep. Find out about the clearfell logging of the world's most carbon dense forests and see what your support is fighting to protect. You will walk 15 metres above ground through ancient rainforest and also bear witness to recently logged coupes in Melbourne's water catchments.
Meet local campaigners who have been fighting to protect their local patch of bush for many years.
We will depart from 288 Brunswick St, Fitzroy at 9am Saturday morning, traveling through Warburton and surrounds on Saturday afternoon. You can either return to Melbourne on Saturday evening or stay with us overnight at a campsite. On Sunday, we will drive through forests recovering from fire and return to Melbourne via Healesville.
Tour leader: Luke Chamberlain
Please call 03 9038 0803 or email us to register your interest by May 13 for planning purposes, car pooling, etc.
