Green Carbon in the Great Western Woodlands
Wilderness Society members and affiliates are invited to attend an event 'Green Carbon in the Great Western Woodlands: A Global Opportunity' being held in Kalgoorlie.
In an age where climates are changing and the value of ‘green carbon’ is becoming increasingly recognised, the Australia National University Enterprises has released a groundbreaking report highlighting the massive current and potential carbon stores in the Great Western Woodlands.
Brief presentations will be given, explaining the science behind the report and the need for appropriate management of this amazing region in order to maintain its ‘green carbon’ value.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
