John Butler: Busking against the Bulldozers
A group of the world's biggest oil and gas companies – including BHP Billiton – are planning to build a gas factory 25 times the size of Melbourne's CBD at James Price Point on WA's pristine Kimberley coast.
On Friday 5 October, join John Butler, the Wilderness Society, and others as we shine a spotlight on this terrible crime against nature and the local Kimberley community.
This action is one not to miss!
It'll feature a special live performance by John Butler, and speeches by Wilderness Society National Director, Lyndon Schneiders, and Kimberley Traditional Custodian, Albert Wiggan.
We're calling call on BHP, along with the other oil and gas giants, to actively oppose processing gas at James Price Point, and to walk away from the project if this destructive development continues.
So, please, bring your t-shirts, placards, and best dancing shoes – and stand with us to protect the Kimberley.
When: 10.00am, Friday 5 October, 2012.
Where: BHP Billiton, QV, 180 Lonsdale St, Melbourne CBD.
