Wild profile - John Biggs - January 12, 2012

John Biggs is a fifth generation Tasmanian, academic, traveller, writer and a bequester for the Wilderness Society. Having lived overseas for much of his working life, he has returned to his native Tasmania where he spends much of his time writing. His latest book is called, Tasmania Over Five Generations: Return to Van Diemen's land?

Penguin Island Bequest Day Trip - November 14, 2011

All had a fantastic day being educated about penguins and other seabirds by senior citizen scientist Dr Nick Dunlop. We got to watch penguin feedings and get up close and personal to the local ecology on the island.

Forever Wild trip to the Murray - October 2011 - October 28, 2011

There were masses of birds and vibrant colours abound with the variety of different plants and ground coverings creating a truly magical space and we were all very humbled to have such an intimate time there.

Melbourne Forever Wild Event - annual campaign update 2011 - October 26, 2011

It was the perfect day to travel to Melbourne's vibrant Footscray Community Arts Centre on the Maribyrnong River for Forever Wild's annual campaign update. This year guests were treated to gorgeous sunshine and presentations from three of the Wilderness Society's talented campaigners.

Forever Wild Daintree Lowlands trip - October 2011 - October 26, 2011

The first Cairns Forever Wild trip was a great success. Guests led by Jeremy Little, Cairns community campaigner, X ranger and ecologist and Laurie Deacon from the Wilderness Society's QLD management committee took the group through a spectacular part of QLD ‘s iconic wilderness, the Daintree lowlands.
