Perth Forever Wild presentation
The Wilderness Society invites you to a special Forever Wild event to be held in Perth on Saturday 25 February, 2012.
If you're one of our valued bequest supporters or if you would like to find out how leaving a gift in your Will can make a difference to the future of Australia's wild places then come along and hear WA Campaign Manager Peter Robertson discuss some of the exciting projects the Wilderness Society is currently involved in.
In particular, you'll learn about how we're protecting the Great Western Woodlands including how we're working with Traditional Owners on improved fire management and campaigning against destructive projects such as the proposed 'barrier fence' that would cut through hundreds of kilometres of the Great Western Woodlands.
Marine Campaigner Jenita Enevoldnsen will also be updating the folks on the marine aspects of our Kimberley campaign. The Kimberley boasts one of the least impacted marine environments on our planet and there are many great opportunities for marine protection right now!
Finally, our newest campaigner Heidi Nore will discuss our work in the Kimberley region one of the last great unspoiled landscapes on Earth. The Kimberley has experienced the fewest extinctions of anywhere in Australia in modern times. It belongs to all of us, as well as to future generations, and we all have a responsibility to work together to develop a sustainable future for this magnificent piece of country.
