For World Turtle Day in 2012, hundreds of people from around Australia hit their local beaches in support of more protection for our sea turtles feeding and breeding grounds across northern Australia's seas. Download a copy of this year's poster of all the events from around the country!
In great news for marine conservation, the Northern Territory government has announced a 3 year moratorium on seabed mining in NT waters.
Thank you to everyone who prepared a submission calling on Federal Environment Minister Tony Burke to protect our amazing eastern marine environment from the Coral Sea to Lord Howe Island.
Following a decade of campaign effort the NT Labor government has announced its first-ever marine park – 88,000ha to safeguard the rich shallow waters of Limmen Bight in the south west corner of the Gulf of Carpentaria.
