No decision for the Western Woodlands

By way of introduction, my name is Aymon Suffolk and I am the new Volunteer Coordinator and Tasmanian Forest Campaigner for the Sydney Campaign Centre. My current tasks include running the Wilderness Action Group (WAG), raising the profile of Tassie's forests on the mainland and being the meeting point for volunteers here at TWS.
The recent World Environment Day event in Sydney was a fantastic success due to the tireless work undertaken by volunteers up to and during the event. Months of planning and many hours of letterboxing, postering, banner painting, stalls and media-chasing paid off, thanks to a great team of dedicated and diversely skilled volunteers.

Our Wilderness Action Group meetings are on every Tuesday at 6pm and, with a federal election looming, the group is gearing up for an intensive period of campaigning. Raising the profile of Tasmania's ancient forests will continue be the focus of WAG, which we will tackle with a diverse range of activities. Fresh, creative input and ideas are always welcome.
