Brisbane's Walk Against Warming

walk-against-warming-qld-15-aug-2010.jpgWhen:  Sunday August 15th
Where: King George Square, Ann St, Brisbane
Time:   11am

It's time to unite for a healthy climate so please join The Wilderness Society Queensland and thousands of other Queenslanders on the Walk against Warming.  Don’t let our political leaders walk away from Climate Change.

The day will be jam packed and include several key note speakers, live performances, stalls and the 2km walk.

Walk against Warming is calling for the next Commonwealth Government to:

  • Put a price on carbon pollution
  • Invest in clean energy and industry for a healthy future
  • Commit to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the next term of Parliament
  • Support poor and vulnerable countries to tackle the impacts of climate change and invest in sustainable development
