The Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary in the Northern Flinders Ranges of South Australia is one of the most significant conservation areas in Australia.

It is an Environmental Class A Zone, which means that activity such as mining must be of paramount significance and in the national interest to proceed.

Mt Gee, in the heart of the Sanctuary, is also a Geological Monument, listed on the Register for the National Estate.

Right now, South Australian State Government sanctioned bulldozers are scarring Mt Gee in the name of mining exploration. What will further exploration and full-scale mining do to this special part of South Australia?

Some things are just to precious to lose - Arkaroola's Mt Gee, the quartz crystal mountain, is one of them.
