Rally to stop the pulp mill

by Liam White — last modified Aug 06, 2008 11:43 PM

SmokestackThe Tasmanian Parliament, which has approved Gunns' fast-track pulp mill, will be sitting in Launceston this month.

Tasmanian Premier David Bartlett says his new Government will be clever and kind. Rejecting a native forest-based pulp mill and taking positive action on climate change are two great opportunities to deliver on his promise.

Come along and show your support for a new direction for Tasmania.

When: 12 noon Saturday 23 August 2008
Where: City Park, Launceston

Speakers will include Peter Cundall and Warwick Raverty.

This rally is being organised by Tasmanians Against the Pulp Mill.
