Red Gum and Green Carbon – two significant forest issues in Victoria today.

Learn about the latest science on Green Carbon, the campaign to protect the Red Gum wetland forests, and opportunities for you to help - all in the family friendly setting of CERES.

Come and learn about the exciting new science from the Australian National University which shows that Victoria’s Forests are among the most carbon rich in the world – making them safe and secure carbon banks which help protect us from climate change.

Find out what you can do to protect our carbon banks from logging, which releases dangerous greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, causing climate change and shrinking the size of the carbon bank.

Family fun days are a great way for the kids to enjoy the outdoors too!

Help us get 100,000 letters to Prime Minister Rudd so that when Australia attends international climate negotiations, our forests are properly factored into global solutions to the climate challenge.

Help protect the iconic Barmah Red Gum wetlands. Ensure premier Brumby upholds an election promise to protect red gum wetlands along the Murray. Come and be a part of this once-in a lifetime opportunity to establish the first Victorian national parks jointly managed with indigenous owners.
