Weekly Wilderness Action Group Meeting

The Wilderness Society's Wilderness Action Group (WAG) meets every Tuesday night at 6:00pm at Level 2, Kindness House, 288 Brunswick St., Fitzroy.

People with a wide range of skills, backgrounds and experience are welcome. Everyone has skills and talents which can benefit our campaigns. Dedicate as much time as you wish, or just come along for an update.

Letter Writing

Writing letters to politicians and to editors of the major metro and country newspapers raises the level of community awareness and concern for the plight of our native forests, and puts pressure on politicians to respond and act.

Email our community campaigners for sample letters calling for the protection of Melbourne's water supply catchments and our remaining old-growth forests. Simply copy these letters and send them electronically. Better still, write your own letter based on the sample provided and post it in. This personal touch has even greater impact.

Help out in the campaign office

No matter how little or how much time you have, your skills (writing, artistic, research, organisational, marketing, fundraising, general enthusiasm!) can be used in the Wilderness Society's conservation campaigns. Email us or come along to a meeting to find out how you can contribute to the running of our campaign office.
