All of our Members are encouraged to participate in our election process and attend our Annual General Meetings.
Since 1976, with the support of our Members, the Wilderness Society has stood at the forefront of Australia’s most historic environmental victories. From the Franklin River, to Fraser Island, to Tasmania’s forests, to the Kimberley, to the Great Australian Bight and numerous World Heritage Areas, such as Ningaloo, we’re focussed on bigger picture outcomes.
Every day we work to fulfil our Purpose of protecting, promoting and restoring wilderness and natural processes across Australia for the survival and ongoing evolution of life on earth. As a Member, you are a vital part of a broader movement making this happen.
Each year Members participate in the election of our Board of Directors. The nomination and election processes are designed to promote broad geographic representation.
