Volunteering with The Wilderness Society South Australia is a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills, gain valuable experience, meet new people, and make a positive contribution to nature conservation in SA. With your help we can make a real difference.
We have a great track record of achieving real conservation outcomes such as the protection of the Arkaroola region from mining, vast conservation areas in the state's west and the protection of offshore islands. We are currently working to protect the waters off of the Great Australian Bight from oil and gas exploration drilling. We also help contribute to our national campaigns such as protecting Tasmanian forests.
We have volunteer vacancies in the following areas:
- Internship - 3 and 6 month placements available
- Education Program team member
- Community Outreach team member
- Community Organiser Assistant
- Letter writing and media response
- Research & development
- Creative activism
- Graphic design
- Fundraising and Event coordination
- Administration and office jobs
