Nature Walk Challenge

  • Sign up for the Nature Walk Challenge, running 15-25 April 2022

  • Funds raised will support the Wilderness Society’s work to protect endangered wildlife and their habitats

  • Prizes to be won, including vouchers and gift packs sponsored by Patagonia, Biome and Love Tea

This 15–25 April, take the Wilderness Society’s Nature Walk Challenge.

Over this 10-day period, choose your distance and walk in nature to protect Australian endangered animals and the iconic places they call home.

Australia is a mega-biodiverse country, home to some of the world's most unique animals. However, Australia's wildlife is coming under increasing threat.

Deforestation, climate change, and unsustainable development in wilderness areas, are putting some of our most iconic creatures at risk of extinction.

Australia is leading the world in mammal extinction, with a total of 34 species.

Funds raised from the Nature Walk Challenge will support Wilderness Society’s ongoing work to protect the habitats of endangered wildlife across Australia. We do so by:

  • Advocating for new laws that support the life our lives depend on.

  • Stopping risky proposals before they start.

  • Monitoring satellite imagery and recording suspicious land clearing.

  • Funding well researched and credible reports to protect Australia's wildlife.

The Nature Walk Challenge is sponsored by like-minded, environmentally friendly organisations including Patagonia, Biome and Love Tea. They have provided generous prizes to be won throughout the challenge, including vouchers and gift packs. There are also rewards up for grabs, including limited edition Nature Walk Challenge t-shirts, Wilderness Society tote bags, beanies and enamel camp cups.

Grab some friends, family or wander solo and enjoy reconnecting with nature, while supporting it’s protection for generations to come.
