Volunteering in Western Australia

At The Wilderness Society, we believe in creating real change for nature. We aim to transform our society into one that protects, respects and is connected to the natural world that sustains us all. We do this by inspiring and empowering our communities to collectively shape a better future for our planet. And the key achieving this is: people power! Thats where you come in.

Everyone can be a part the movement for nature, you probably already are. So come and join our team of passionate volunteers, and lets organise for nature!

There are three ways you can get involved with our Perth team, in inspiring our movement for nature:

1)      Become a member

2)      Attend an event

3)      Volunteer!

a) Join the Crusaders Team

b) Tackle a research project

b) Join a local neighbourhood collective

1) Become a member.

Join the tens of thousands of individuals who make us the The Wildereness Society to explore, enjoy and protect our most precious natural resources — the clean air, safe drinking water, our land and sea, and our precious wildlife and wild places we all love! There are tonnes of member benefits including our special online and print magazines + discounts on merch and events! But the biggest benefit of all is supporting the ongoing protection of nature. 2) Attend an event.

Every month we host or collaborate on an array of events. We have a regular welcome events for new members and supporters, a monthly volunteer meet-up, regular outdoor trips and activities, plus an assortment of campaign events and community stalls, activities and actions. Click here to visit our event calendar and watch our facebook group to see what's coming up and RSVP to whichever event you can next come along to.

3) Volunteer!

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation. We don’t just support a healthy planet and a sustainable future – we’re spreading our vision far and wide! Together we can empower our communities, support our local leaders and build effective teams that create solutions we need for nature. It's up to us to make a positive change in the world.
