Western Australia

We're a collective of curious, nature-loving and ready-to-go people here in Perth, and we're inviting you to join us to help celebrate and support life here in WA.

Training opportunities
Our community organising program is all about immersing yourself in an incredible learning and development experience so that collectively we can better protect, promote and restore wilderness across Australia.

Volunteering opportunities
Volunteering with The Wilderness Society is an incredibly rewarding experience. We have a number of roles within our campaign centre here in Perth — if you’ve got a skill you’d like to share as a volunteer, or you’d just love to get out and about chatting to the community about the work that we do, then we’d love to hear from you!

Right now we're after:

  • Stalls Coordinator
  • Event Organiser (Kimberley Custodian Supporter Trip)
  • Research volunteer (gas fracking research—short report)
  • Submission writer (key opportunities to protect the Great Western Woodlands & Kimberley)

Please email us at wa@wilderness.org.au to express your volunteer interest and we’ll find the right role for you.

Neighbourhood Collectives
Neighbourhood Collectives are a place where members and supporters of Wilderness Society can meet people locally, explore our great wild places together and work towards the ongoing protection of our environment. Together we can empower our communities, support our local leaders and build effective teams that create the solutions we need for nature. Please email us at wa@wilderness.org.au to express your interest, or sign up here.

Get wild!
Throughout the year we hold a number of events where you get to experience, in person, our beautiful wild places. Follow us on Facebook to be kept up-to-date on these events!
